Open day attracts record number of visitors

The College of Optometrists opened its doors to the public on September 21 as part of London's Open House weekend.

The annual celebration of the city's new and historic buildings drew a record 219 visitors through the College doors.

The event included the launch of the College museum's temporary exhibition by artist Derek Ogbourne. It features The Micro Museum of Optography, which explores the historic belief that the last image seen before death is retained on the retina. The exhibition is on display until March 2009.
