Conferences

Details of the programme for the College of Optometrists’ first one-day conference have been announced.

Optometry Tomorrow Bitesize was described as a smaller, regional version of the College’s annual conference and offers delegates an opportunity to attend presentations and seminars and take part in workshops and peer discussions. The College said up to 13 interactive CET points were on offer – including peer review points.

Presentations include ‘It’s a bug’s life’ – a microbe’s journey around the cornea by Damian Lake, along with lectures on AMD, glaucoma, anterior uveitis and commissioning schemes in the South West and Wales. Workshops and seminars will cover topics such as tonometry and pachymetry, gonioscopy, setting up a dry eye clinic and paediatrics.
