College seeks regional council representatives

Nominations are being sought by the College

Nominations are being sought by the College of Optometrists for 13 council members to represent eight regions and set its strategic and professional direction.

Catherine Bithell, director of member services and communications at the College, said: ‘We want optometrist representatives from every work setting and with different levels of experience, so please consider the role, no matter what your background. The key is that you are interested in the development of the profession, have an enquiring, critical and open mind, and are willing to express your views and represent those of your regional members.’

Nominations must be supported by two full members of the College who live or work in the region. Ballots opened for a month on March 7 and the term starts on June 20 at the College’s Optometry Tomorrow 2022 conference.
