Wesley Jessen has published a new guide in its 'Opportunities' series explaining how practitioners can improve turnover from colour contact lens sales.
The new brochure, 'Contact lens opportunities', gives information on the lenses and outlines how they can be used to expand the patient base and how to sell them to existing patients, especially those who wear spectacles and toric lenses. It also discusses the effect of low pricing and suggests alternatives to simply cutting prices. General manager UK sales and marketing Andy Cockayne said: 'Reducing prices places a great strain on independent practices, which are unlikely to have the resources or the marketing budget to increase their patient base enough to cover the loss of income from cutting prices.'
