The next scientific evening meeting of the British Contact Lens Association will see Moorfields Eye Hospital senior optometrist Neil Cox taking BCLA members and guests on a journey through coloured contact lens fitting.
To be held on February 4 at 76 Portland Place, London, 'Coloured contacts: more than cosmetic' is approved for one CET point and will cover the development, availability and application of prosthetic coloured contact lenses.
Factors influencing success and improving outcomes will be discussed, as well other benefits such as protection from glare and photophobia in albinism and achromatopsia and recovery from ocular trauma. Cox added: 'I hope to encourage more BCLA members to get involved in this rewarding area of practice, and be better able to inform their patients of the most suitable lens options.'
