Are you good with images or handy with a camera? If so, your photograph could be included in this year's Visions of Science national tour and bring you a prize of up to £1,000.
The Novartis/Daily Telegraph Visions of Science competition is to run again, for a sixth year, and the closing date for entries is May 6. Judges for the Medicine and Life Award are 'looking for images that may show us something never seen before, open our eyes to new areas of medicine, or show us medical science in creative and unusual ways'.
What is most important, say organisers, is not that you are a professional photographer, but that you have an eye for powerful images that tell a story about medical research, diagnosis and treatment.
This year there are five main categories each offering a first prize of £1,000 and a second prize of £400, with the special medicine and life award
attracting a £500 cash prize.
