A conditional registration order imposed on an optometrist for nearly five years has been lifted by a General Optical Council fitness to practise committee.
Oliver Stevens was placed on conditional registration in 2007 when a committee ruled he was guilty of deficient professional performance as a result of poor record keeping between March 2001 and January 2005.
At what was the registrant's fourth review hearing, the committee heard positive reports from his mentor and assessor, who had been appointed in September 2011.
The committee said it was satisfied that the registrant's record keeping was now of an acceptable standard and a repeat of his original failings was unlikely.
