A four-day event billed as Britain's first Natural Eyesight Conference focusing on how vision can be improved without spectacles, contact lenses or surgery, will begin on October 24 in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.

A four-day event billed as Britain's first Natural Eyesight Conference focusing on how vision can be improved without spectacles, contact lenses or surgery, will begin on October 24 in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.

According to the event organisers, the theme of the conference is how the work pioneered by William H Bates in the early 20th century is being developed and used today.

Delegates from around the world are expected to attend the event which encompasses workshops and lectures which aim to 'deliver current best practice and research in natural vision education'.

Speakers include Peter Mansfield, author of The Bates Method: A complete guide to improving eyesight naturally and Richard Hobday, author of The Healing Sun: Sunlight and Health in the 21st Century.
