A debate on the GOS Review will be one of the highlights of this year’s National Optometric Conference.
The conference, which will be held in Birmingham in October, will hear an update of the Review by AOP chief executive Bob Hughes.
Time will be set aside for delegates to speak to Optometry Scotland’s Hal Rollason, a representative of the Welsh profession and Hughes himself.
Other topics for the event include parallel sessions on clinical governance, therapeutics and making accurate claims, and a lecture on clinical pathways for glaucoma.
Later at the event Sandhya Kapila from the legal and defence department at the AOP will discuss avoiding disciplinary action by the GOC using role-playing exercises.
The event, which is organised by the AOP, will take place on October 5 at the Hilton, Birmingham Metropole NEC, with a reception the evening before starting at 7pm.
