The deal, made with Ultralase, starts from March 1, when all Conlons Opticians will offer advice and information about laser eye treatment, as well as providing aftercare for those who undergo the procedure at a local Ultralase treatment centre.
The Merseyside-based group joins almost 500 other optical outlets involved in Ultralase's Ultra-EyeCare programme which provides aftercare appointments to the laser eye group's patients.
And in an agreement unique for the laser eye surgery provider, Conlons' Liverpool branch is giving laser eye consultations, performed by practitioners who have undertaken further training in laser refractive care at Ultralase.
Tony Veverka, sales director of Ultralase, said: 'We are delighted to develop these close ties with Conlons.
'Our Ultra-EyeCare co-management scheme has already proved to be extremely popular with smaller optical practices nationwide, but a partnership on this scale from a leading optician of Conlons' reputation is a fantastic endorsement.'
He claimed that more people were asking their optical practitioner about laser eye treatment, and that it was a testament to the effectiveness of Ultralase's procedure that Conlons was confident in offering the service to its patients.
Conlons used to be involved with Maxivision, the laser eye surgery company purchased by Optical Express. Conlons has 18 practices and is a family-run business.
