Northwest practice group Conlons has been awarded the Investor in People standard for the fourth time since 1998 following a four-day assessment.
The group said that it places a great emphasis on staff training and development, which is demonstrated at is annual conference to which all staff members are invited.
This year’s conference entitled Back to School included CET accredited presentations from Dr Fiona Fylan and ‘industry favourite’ Sarah Morgan as well as team building events themed on a primary school sports day.
During the events Conlons honoured long serving staff and presented awards for excellence in areas of customer service and business performance. It also presented five managers with diplomas from the Chartered Management Institute.
Retail development director Peter Black said: ‘Many companies have found it difficult to maintain their IIP status, especially since the standard was updated to focus more on management competence, so this is a real achievement.
‘I am particularly pleased as this shows what a great bunch of people we have, which really is the secret to our success.’
