Contamac expand vision care team

Contamac has appointed Dr Peg Achenbach as chief medical and academic strategist for professional services, vision care at Contamac US. Dr Achenbach will oversee the development of the company's education programmes in the speciality contact lens sector. Dr Achenbach has held the position of senior director for professional and medical affairs at Johnson & Johnson. She also co-founded SDR Pharmaceuticals, where she headed research and drug development in oncology, HIV, tuberculosis and antimicrobial agents.

'I believe my background combined with the corporate and academic relationships that I have enjoyed over the years, position me perfectly to help shape this quickly expanding area of optometric education and practice development,' said Dr Achenbach.
