Optometrists and contact lens opticians are invited to a series of seminars on ÔGetting started in continuous wearÕ.
The six seminars, sponsored by Ciba Vision, will take place in October and November at venues in England and Scotland.
Guest speakers will be Dr Lyndon Jones and Kathy Dumbleton, both recognised educators in the contact lens field, currently based at the Centre for Contact Lens Research (CCLR) University of Waterloo, Canada.
The aim of the seminars is to increase confidence in prescribing continuous wear lenses, and help practitioners with their clinical management of continuous wear patients.
Dr Jones said: ÔThe aim of this roadshow is to provide clinicians with the most recent information from the trials conducted and to give them the most clinically relevant fitting and management lessons we have learnt over the past four to five years that we have been exposed to this modality.
ÔWe firmly believe that education is the key to success with continuous wear. This series of lectures will provide delegates with information that will significantly enhance their comfort level when fitting these novel materials.Õ
The all-day seminars are at London Heathrow (October 28), and Birmingham (November 4). The evening events will take place in Glasgow (October 29), Manchester (October 30), London (October 31), and Bristol (November 1).
