Corporate eye care and eyewear provider ASE Corporate Eyecare has increased its network of independent opticians by over 300 through a re-registration process, as practices seek to benefit from new patients in the midst of a recession.
The company now has 2,300 opticians providing eye examinations and eyewear to employees of larger companies, whose HR departments give display screen equipment users details of participating practices.
One new practice to join its EyecarePlans scheme is Andrews Opticians of Newtownabbey in Northern Ireland, recently set up by optometrist Rachel Andrews. 'It is especially difficult to find new patients in the current market as I cannot rely on reminder letters as I don't have a big patient list, but EyeCare plans should help with this,' she said.
