Nominees for election to the College of Optometrists' Council are being sought across nine regions of the UK.
Practising members across the Eastern, North East, Scotland, East Midlands, London, North West, South East, South West, and Yorkshire and Humber regions are being encouraged to stand for 18 vacancies.
Council members are elected in a total of 12 regions and serve for three years up to a maximum of 12 years. College members are eligible to stand as a candidate in the region where they live or work and are elected by other members in that region.
The Council plays a pivotal role in determining policy and strategy for the College and in ensuring its responsiveness to the views of its membership.
