'After 37 years in the industry I feel I have a lot to offer,' he says. 'I am aiming at a niche in the market, designing and making frames for individual customers who either want something different to wear, want to wear a copy of a discontinued frame or who have problems with the fit of frames available off the shelf.' Mr Cox emphasises that he is offering a personal service and will visit, if needed, practitioners and patients at practices within a 20- mile radius of his studio in Halvergate, near Norwich, to discuss designs. 'I think of this as a chance for practices to offer another quality service to their patients, who perhaps do not know that there are fac ilities like this available,' he continues. Mr Cox has made frames for the likes of Edna Everidge, as well as working on various films and TV projects.
