Crisis Collection day donates to Londoners’ vision

Crisis at Christmas collection day saw 130 pairs of spectacles, with powers ranging between +5D and _15.25D, dispensed to Londoners experiencing homelessness.

The day brought together volunteers who had worked to deliver eyecare services at 13 different clinics across London during December.

Service organisers and optometrists, Parth Shah and Byrony Allen, led the largest offering of clinics yet which provided 152 eye tests.

Shah said: ‘We all aspire to do some good and this service is for the betterment of some of the most vulnerable people in society. I would urge anyone to get involved – not just at Christmas but at the clinics around the country throughout the year.
