Cubitts collection celebrates 10-year anniversary

A collection of five frames created by independent optical practice group Cubitts celebrated its 10 year anniversary.

The Emotional Utilitarian range is inspired by 20th century designers, such as Gerald Summers, Eileen Gray, Donald Judd and Isamu Noguchi.

Tom Broughton, founder of Cubitts, said: ‘Modernist design shows that functionality needn't be at the expense of personality. And so, as we approach our 10 year milestone, I’m excited to use the design language of our very favourite designers in a micro collection, for the first time.’

The influence of the designers can be found in design details, such as bent lugs, an interlocking hinge, distinctive chamfers, hand-formed curves and custom lamination.
