Vision Express has opened a new practice in the town of Yarm – five months after pedalling through for a charity bike ride.
Eye cancer survivor Nicole Beddard officially opened the North East practice, with 40 Vision Express volunteers having cycled past in October 2013 on a three-day journey from the company’s first store in Gateshead to its Nottingham HQ to mark 25 years of trading.
Store manager Tony Rhodes from Middlesbrough said: ‘It was so fitting to have Nicole join us to officially open our new store. The Childhood Eye Cancer Trust is an important part of the store’s story, thanks to the Ride4Sight fundraisers passing through the town on their charity cycle.
