Twenty fundraisers from Black & Lizars raised £2,000 earlier this month by completing a gruelling cycle ride.
The £2,000 will be added to Black & Lizars' efforts to raise £70,000 for four chosen charities in celebration of the company's 175th anniversary. In the latest charity effort, staff, their families and friends cycled 11 miles along the Scottish coast in customary unpleasant weather, raising £100 each.
Chairman Colin Black, who took part in the ride, said: 'I am very proud of them and felt privileged to take part.' The four charities who will share the hoped for £70,000 total are ChildLine Scotland, Fight For Sight, Cancer Research Scotland and the Targu Mures Trust in aid of Nazi holocaust survivors.
