Dollond & Aitchison has dismissed speculation it plans to launch an online eyewear collection by the end of the year.
D&A insisted it already had an online service that allowed customers to view frames and check availability before visiting their local branch.
The company told Optician: 'D&A understands that customers want the best service when it comes to choosing the right eyewear and eye care solution. That's why D&A recommends that customers visit their local branch, where the highly trained staff can offer personalised advice.
'D&A will continue to listen to its customers and evolve its online offering where necessary in the future.'
