At the launch of its 2006 sunglass collection in London last week, Dollond & Aitchison also took the opportunity to deliver some eye care messages to the national media.

Sun protection is a key focus area for the group this year and it used the London-based style and information day on January 17 to communicate with some of the leading women's and men's lifestyle magazines as well as the national press.

Professional services director Dr Rob Hogan was on hand to give health advice and asserted that the training of optical assistants would become part of D&A's service and quality approach to customer care.

On show at the event was a sunwear line up from Givenchy, Escada, Sting, Police and Ray-Ban. There was also a promotion for the Nike Maxsight sports tinted contact lenses.
