Dakota classic winner

Dakota Classic winner optometrist Wes Maginnis from Mosley is pictured clutching a picture of the the Ryder Cup Brabazon Championship Course, The Belfry.

Thirty eight practitioners took part in the annual Dakota Classic Golf Competition held from June 24-26 at the Belfry and Forest of Arden. Optometrist Lawrence Gaunt from Leeds took second place, David Hilton from Woodhall Spa came third while Jonathan Bryan from Chester came fourth.

Optometrist Mike Winson and John and Wes Maginnis won the team event on the Monday at the Forest of Arden course while the Sunday Single held at the Belfry was won by optometrist David Mason from Kings Norton.
