Golfers change course for Dakota

u The first days of International EyewearÕs recent Dakota Classic in Scotland were washed out after heavy rainfall.

With 40 practitioners waiting to start the competition, a quick change to the nearby Troon Dailly Course enabled 18 holes to be played. The tournament was staged over four days and included the Open Championship Courses of Troon and Turnberry.The main event, the Dakota Classic, was won by Carl Witham of C&N Witham Opticians in Derbyshire. In second place was John Maginnis from Maginnis Opticians, with Andrew Patrick from Patrick & Menzies in third place and Ian Flower from Portland Optical in fourth place.u Next yearÕs event will be held on June 15-17 at Royal Birkdale, Lancashire.
