Practitioners get in the swing for Dakota Classic

A golfing treat was in store when International Eyewear hosted its Dakota Golf Classic at Stratford-upon-Avon last month.

The two-day event, at the Welcombe Hotel and Golf Club, attracted 43 practitioners from around the UK, including a strong contingent from Northern Ireland. All were competing to win one of several prizes - for the Dakota Classic itself, a four-ball team event, the longest drive and for the drive reaching nearest to the pin. Phillip Bradley from Derby walked away with the Classic title, with Conor Hill from Stourbridge, West Midlands, in second place and Peter Brogan from Belfast in third place. Mr Brogan also won the nearest the pin competition. The prize for the longest drive went to John Maginnis, who was also in the winning team with fellow golfers Phillip Bradley, Ian Flower and Bob Edwards.
