Dan Smithard embarks on charity cycle

A dispensing optician will cycle from Folkestone to Edinburgh for a children’s charity.

Dan Smithard, DO at Specsavers Epsom, will be joined by his two brothers Luke and Micah, and their father David in an attempt to raise £2,000 for the Toybox charity.

He said: ‘This is a fantastic charity to support and the work they carry out to give children a future will make every mile of this challenge so worthwhile.’ Smithard’s three day challenge will start on July 30, stopping off in Grantham and Newcastle along the way.
