Daniel Hardiman-McCartney (pictured) has been appointed as a clinical advisor at the College of Optometrists.
He most recently worked as managing director of an independent practice in Cambridge, previously working as a visiting clinician at Anglia Ruskin University.
Hardiman-McCartney has been a member of Cambridgeshire LOC since 2007 and a member of the College of Optometrists Council, representing its Eastern region, since 2009.
A statement by the College said he also had an interest in the effects of vision in art and known in the industry as a passionate advocate of iconic and artisan eyewear.
