Deafblind appoints new CEO

Charity Deafblind UK has assigned Nikki Morris as chief executive officer

Charity Deafblind UK has assigned Nikki Morris as chief executive officer following the retirement of Steve Conway at the end of 2022.

In her new role, Morris planned to introduce a project to identify and support people with early stages of sight and hearing loss and launch Deafblind UK’s resources for schools.

As a registered nurse and former CEO of Age UK Camden, Morris has extensive experience in care navigation, counselling and digital inclusion, and was awarded the British Empire Medal in 2022 for services to Camden during the Covid-19 pandemic.

‘I am delighted to join Deafblind UK as CEO at such a pivotal time in its development,’ Morris said.
