Diabetes UK and Bupa have created an e-learning programme to improve understanding of diabetes among retinal screeners.
The course was written by Diabetes UK clinicians, with information on how diabetes is diagnosed, treated and monitored.
Bupa UK medical director Paula Franklin said: ‘We recognise the challenge that diabetes presents across the health care community, from retinal screeners to care home assistants.’
