Digital Eye Strain details not accessible

A study found information for the public about digital eye strain was not accessible in a clear format despite a wealth of details about the condition being available.

Greek researchers highlighted a need for standardisation in proposed prevention and management strategies, particularly as screen use was likely to grow with the emergence of virtual reality displays.

The study summarised research data to determine whether digital eye strain was conclusively defined and if sufficient guidance for professionals and patients was available.

The paper was authored by ophthalmologists Ioanna Mylona, Mikes Glynatsis, Georgios Floros and Stylianos Kandarakis in Clinical Optometry.
