Dispensing optician thrilled with book launch

A dispensing optician has turned his hand to writing and published his first book – launching it on a rollercoaster.

Solihull Specsavers store director Brad Parkes launched a practical guide to creating successful clubs, societies and other membership organisations, called Making Clubs Work, at Drayton Manor Family Theme Park (see picture).

Parkes, involved with membership organisations himself, said: ‘Membership clubs and organisations play such a vital role in providing people with a sense of belonging, a place and a purpose and it’s so important that these organisations of all sorts and sizes survive and thrive.’
