Specsavers Opticians in Broad Street, Worcester, has raised more than £500 for Guide Dogs after holding a fundraising day. Staff donated £5 from every eye examination and carried out spectacle MOTs for in return for a donation.

Store director Randeep Singh also walked about the town centre in a guide dog suit encouraging shoppers to make a donation. Steve Muxworty, corporate fundraiser for Guide Dogs, thanked Specsavers and those who made a donation. 'We are delighted by the amount raised,' he said.
