Country singer Dolly Parton recently presented five year-old Dylan Manifold with a braille version of The Tale of Peter Rabbit to mark a new partnership between the RNIB and Imagination Library – her child literacy programme.
Working with the UK Imagination Library, RNIB will deliver six free braille or audio books each year to blind and partially sighted children such as Manifold, who suffers from septo optic dysplasia.
Parton said: ‘I’m so excited that the 28,000 children who receive a book each month from the UK Imagination Library can now be joined by blind and partially sighted children thanks to our new partnership with RNIB.’
