Dorling heads for America

Matt Dorling, UK business director of Transitions, has been promoted to director of US national retail and Canada.

Dorling will be a member of the North America leadership team reporting directly to Brian Hauser, general manager for North America.

His role will be to manage Transitions' retail sales, marketing and business development. He will also provide leadership for the North America retail team, manage major accounts, and identify business opportunities. He will also lead the firm's strategy for growth in Canada.

Dorling joined Transitions Optical in 1999 as a trade developer. He won several promotions before leaving to join Carl Zeiss Vision in 2005. He rejoined Transitions a year later, most recently being promoted to business director, UK and Ireland.
