A Canadian ophthalmologist instrumental in training Optical Express's laser eye surgery professionals has died in London.
Dr Clive Mortimer, an expert in retinal, cataract and refractive work, was 74. Educated at Marlborough, Queen's College Cambridge and Middlesex Hospital, he was a past-president of the Canadian Ophthalmological Society and chairman of World Blindness Prevention at the World Congress of Ophthalmology.
Dr Mortimer's memorial service will take place on March 26 in Toronto.
