Dr Mackie joins Optical Express

Optical Express has appointed optometrist Dr Scott Mackie as its new professional services director.

Dr Mackie (right) joins just days after he completed a spell as organiser of Eyecare 3000.

With a PhD in diabetic eye disease, Dr Mackie is a visiting lecturer at Glasgow Caledonian University and volunteers with Vision Aid Overseas.

Chairman and CEO of Optical Express, David Moulsdale, said: 'I have known Dr Mackie for almost 20 years and we share the same ideals of providing the best in patient care. I believe Scott has the qualities we need for this role and am delighted that he is now part of the Optical Express team.'
