Dual role for Marcolin

Cirillo Marcolin has been appointed president of ANFAO and Mido, taking over from Safilo's Vittorio Tabacchi.

Also president of the Italian Federation of Fashion and Personal Accessories for this and the next two years, Marcolin held the dual role of president of ANFAO and Mido from 2003-2007 and was vice-president of ANFAO and executive at Mido for the past year and a half.

Speaking about eyewear's role at the top of the Made in Italy sector, he said: 'I believe that it is extremely important to promote this excellence on major international markets through decisive support actions, the organisation of events aimed at exemplifying Italian creativity, by emphasising its prestigious history from its origins to the latest trends.'
