Essilor backs conference for independents

Essilor is encouraging its Varilux Specialist practices to attend this year's Independents Day by offering them subsidised tickets to the event.

Andy Hepworth, Essilor's professional relations manager, said Essilor wanted to support Independents Day and provide its customers with business help.

'Independents Day will be of enormous benefit to our customers wanting to keep one step ahead of their competitors. We have agreed with Proven Track Record to subsidise any Varilux Specialist's cost of attendance - which means they can benefit from a maximum delegate fee of just £99.'

This year's Independents day is entitled 'Professional fees a price worth paying?' It will focus on the issue of professional fee charging. Speakers include the internet spectacle retailer James Murray Wells plus Dr Rhonda Robinson from the US.
