Essilor’s prescription lab in Thailand recently celebrated its fifth anniversary. Employees were treated to special lunch, received talks from management and colleagues from Essilor’s Thai manufacturing site were given tours of the lab.
EOLT general manager Jean-Marie Hebert (left) and Asia Rx lab director Christophe Leger (right) also presented awards to 36 employees who have worked at the lab since its creation.
In 2011, the lab managed to escape widespread flooding that devastated the region and affected lens manufacturers such as Hoya. However, it was still forced to close for a short time so that employees were not put in danger while commuting.
