This year's Independents day is on course to beat its record attendance according to organisers Proven Track Record (PTR), with 100 delegates having signed up already.

This year's Independents day is on course to beat its record attendance according to organisers Proven Track Record (PTR), with 100 delegates having signed up already.

The 2009 event is themed 'Driving Retails Sales in a Recession' and according to PTR will feature 'top business people offering advice for surviving the current economic downturn'.

The keynote speaker for 2009 is Dennis Reid, chairman of Retail Performance Specialists, who PTR say is an internationally renowned authority on increasing and sustaining retail sales and service performance. Other highlights will include a roundtable discussion with successful practice owners and sponsors', CET workshops which will offer up to five CET points and training for optical assistants.
