Top business people will advise practitioners about how to best survive the recession at this year's Independents Day, topically themed 'Driving retail sales in a recession'.
In its fifth year, the event is open exclusively to attendees from independent practices, and will be held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham on July 2.
The keynote speaker for 2009 will be Dennis Reid, chairman of Retail Performance Specialists. Event organiser Proven Track Record (PTR) describes Reid as an internationally renowned authority on increasing and sustaining retail sales and service performance and has extensive experience of the optical sector.
Other highlights of Independents Day will include CET workshops and a round-table discussion with successful practice owners sharing their tips on success.
