Ex-D&A boss goes to Millets

Russell Hardy, who left the helm of Dollond & Aitchison in September, is to become chief executive of the parent of outdoor retailer Millets.
His appointment to Blacks Leisure Group plc will be effective from January 1.
Hardy, 44, was chairman and chief executive of the De Rigo-owned optical group for eight years. His new employer issued a statement on that period: 'During this time he led a major restructuring of the business that produced a significant improvement in market share, prior to securing a sale to a trade buyer.'
Blacks has also announced interim results for the six months to August 31, which showed a £138.6m turnover for the business.
Andy Ferguson, the former commercial director of the high street optician brand, has replaced Hardy as D&A boss.
