Earlier in the year Hardy was upbeat after launching designer tents from Cath Kidston and Ted Baker. The absence of the Glastonbury festival, the distraction of the World Cup and competition from supermarkets and Halfords, however, led to a £36m fall in Blacks’ market valuation.
