Pure Technology trading as Jai Kudo was ranked 71st in The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 100 thanks to an annual international growth in sales of 62.51 per cent. The league table covers Britain's private companies with the fastest growing international sales over the past two years.
Executive managing director Jamie Holoran said: 'We are delighted to feature in the list. Given the ever-increasing competitiveness of the UK optical market, we have opted in recent years to concentrate on developing market share further afield. I'm pleased to say that the reaction to our products has been extremely encouraging.'
He put the export success down to the company infrastructure, with its network of satellite stations and freelance distributors overseas as well as multilingual staff in the UK.
Jai Kudo is represented in more than 30 countries, with sales from North America and Europe contributing to some half of last year's turnover. Large deals with clients in the US boosted international sales from £1.9m in 2007 to £4.9m in 2009.
Holoran added that he envisaged the company continuing to drive sales forward in the European territories where it had made the most gain.
