Essilor and Transitions have released the XTRActive everyday adaptive lens which goes extra dark in all light conditions up to category 3. The lenses are claimed to block 100 per cent of UV rays and when combined with a Crizal coating, give better clarity and faster fade back.

The lens comes in single-vision Rx and Varilux Comfort standard and short. A choice of Crizal Forte, Crizal Alize+, Crizal Easy and supra coatings come with Orma 1.5 index.
