Eyecare Trust seeks creative thinkers

Practitioners are being invited to apply for positions on the board of trustees at the Eyecare Trust to help the charity deliver a higher public profile for optics and its eye health message.

Comprising nine members, the board is responsible for governing and setting strategic direction for the charity.

Commenting on the vacancies, Trust chairman Iain Anderson said: 'Trusteeship is a rewarding experience. Not only will successful candidates be instrumental in helping improve the health of the nation's eyes through the delivery of national eye health awareness initiatives and specifically targeted campaigns, they will also have the opportunity to gain unique insights into the ophthalmic sector, get involved in new networks and learn or build on existing skills in areas such as policy and decision-making, asset management, creative thinking and effective communication.'
