Mitron Medical, a division of the BIB group, has launched the EyeGiene Insta-Warmth eye compress solution for the treatment of dry eye.
Created and developed by Eyedetec USA and its founder, ophthalmologist Barry J Linder, the Eyegiene compress was said to provide a warming method for the treatment of dry eye, blepharitis, and chalazion.
Patients open sealed foil packages and place the warming system into each eye pouch contained within the eye mask provided. The correct temperature is reached within seconds and is maintained for between eight and 10 minutes. The warming systems are then removed and disposed of.
