Frame and sunglass firm Fabris Lane has appointed Sean Collins as optical sales manager and is to spend £1m on consumer marketing and advertising in leading fashion magazines over the next year.

Collins, who has wide experience in the UK market, previously with Maui Jim, Marcolin, Safilo and OWP, will focus on supporting independent practices. He said he was committed to bringing the creativity, quality and service of the independent eyewear producer to UK opticians.

'We are looking to build strong partnerships with independents, whose opinions we value greatly in the development process of our product and support material,' he said.
