FDA gives lab the all clear

Bausch & Lomb's solutions manufacturing plant and distribution centre in Greenville, South Carolina recently passed a US Food and Drug Administration inspection without objection.

Bausch & Lomb's solutions manufacturing plant and distribution centre in Greenville, South Carolina recently passed a US Food and Drug Administration inspection without objection.

This, said B&L, confirmed its conviction that both properties are in acceptable compliance.

The FDA had inspected the facility between March 22 and May 15 2006 after which B&L gave a plan of corrective actions in June 2006. In October 2006 the FDA issued a warning letter detailing those actions completed and those remaining.

Speaking of the latest news, Gerhard Bauer, senior vice-president operations and engineering for B&L said: 'We are pleased that this inspection confirmed the successful implementation of all commitments made by Bausch & Lomb to the FDA, an outcome made possible through the efforts and dedication of our Greenville employees.'
