Time is running out to get your entries in for the 2012 Optician Awards with an extended closing deadline of January 31.
This year's Awards boast new categories and new sponsors and there is something for everyone. Practices have a range of categories to aim for from fashion to technology and vision for life. There are also categories for practices of every size, so whether you are a city centre multiple or small independent, have a look at the awards on offer.
Once again there are individual awards for optometrists, dispensing opticians, contact lens opticians and optical assistant teams and a new Education Award which is open to all.
Companies are not left out either. There are awards for manufacturers, distributors and service suppliers such as labs. This year's Awards also boast the widest selection of product categories with trophies for sunglasses added to those for frames, lenses and contact lenses. To enter go to www.opticianawards.com. Entries will now close on January 31 with judging on February 8 and shortlists announced soon after. The Awards presentation will take place at the London Hilton, Park Lane on April 14. The new Art Deco-styled Awards will be presented at a black tie dinner featuring a drinks reception, stunning AV show, an A-list celebrity host and after-show party.
